Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team and take part in testing our mobility payment platform ryd including fueling, EV charging and car wash. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests to validate the functionality of our platform ensuring that our platform meets the highest quality standards.

Your Tasks:
  • Design and implement automated tests for APIs, WebApp and native apps using existing testing frameworks based on pragmatism and best practices.
  • Continuously enhance the testing process by identifying areas for improvement, increasing test coverage and refinement of existing tests.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics and reporting to ensure transparency and visibility into the testing process and product quality.
  • Create and maintain test documentation including test cases, test data and test reports.
  • Support the implementation of new features right from the planning phase to ensure high quality by finding and raising issues as early as possible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, marketing colleagues, customer support team, business intelligence team, and other stakeholders, to ensure that testing is complete and efficient.

Your Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in software testing and writing automated tests (preferably using TypeScript)
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies as well as test plans, test cases, and test data management strategies
  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitLab pipelines)
  • Experience with test automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies
  • Experience in SQL is a plus
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, ability to identify and analyze problems and develop creative solutions to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
  • Advanced ISTQB core certification is a plus
